Exciting announcement #2: I’ve been accepted to be part of the Local Author Fair hosted by my library!
This will be in a couple of weeks (eep), and I’m working hard to get everything ready in time. I’m looking forward to meeting some other authors in my area too! Might even sell a couple of books while I’m at it. 🙂
Those are the exciting updates for now, but I hope to have more in the near future.
Progress on this short story prequel to The Wizard of Suomen: my cover designer has begun work on the cover, and I have gotten feedback from my beta readers and my editor, so I can get to work on the next round of editing. A few steps closer!
I can’t give it a specific release date just yet, but I’m hoping it will be soon.
Exciting announcement #1: The Wizard of Suomen is officially nominated for a Minnesota Book Award!
The initial round of judging happens over the winter, and four books from each category are announced at the end of January (“genre fiction” for me). I have my fingers crossed that TWoS will at least make it that far! Winners for each category are announced in April.
I probably won’t have many updates about this until January, but will be sure to post anything that comes up. 😀
(This is still SUPER EXCITING)
And quick reminder that the ebook is still on sale for about 7 more hours!
…it makes sense to run a sale on the ebook, right? XD
Countdown Deal on The Wizard of Suomen starting today at $0.99. Or, if you prefer to read a physical book, those are $12.99.
I hope you enjoy it!
It is hard to express how amazing it is to hold a print copy of your book in your hands.
Cover by Luke Brickley, and interior formatting by Larks & Katydids.
As this post might suggest, print copies of The Wizard of Suomen will be available through Amazon in a few days! When it is, I’ll also run a sale on the ebook for anyone who’d like to give it a try for a bit less than $12.99.
Working through CreateSpace was a pretty easy process! I was careful to check all of their specs beforehand, so I didn’t have any trouble with their review process, and the proof (pictured above) looked great.
I will (hopefully) be attending some events local to me over the next few months, and will have print copies available at those as well. More posts about those as they come up!
(Seriously, though, this still gives me shivers even days later. ^_^;; )
All right, I have officially sent a completed draft of Luule Ehari’s backstory, The Witch, off to my first beta readers! It’s a short story (just shy of 8,000 words), so I’m hoping that the editing process won’t take too long. There may be a bit of a delay in getting cover art together, but with luck I’ll have it out in the next few months!
If you have not met Luule and discovered how awesome she is yet, check out The Wizard of Suomen. 😉 I’m glad she decided to give me more of her story! I’ll put up a snippet once I get it back from my betas.
Next on the list is to finish up Alexei’s backstory!
